One of the many ways we serve our members is by providing scholarships to those who not only excel academically but also demonstrate great leadership and involvement within LSBA and the community.
All LSBA members qualify to apply for the LSBA Scholarship.
Recipients are chosen by the Executive Board and are announced at the LSBA end-of-the-year Banquet!
Not only does LSBA have its scholarships, but the LSBA Alumni Association also started its own LSBA Alumni Scholarship Fund in 2017.
To date, LSBA Alumni have donated 235+ times, totaling $21,000+, and awarded 21 recipients.

All LSBA-paid members get an original LSBA t-shirt per academic year. These t-shirts serve as a symbol for what our members become a part of. They become part of something much bigger than just an organization. They now have a support system and an organization that looks out for their best interest.
All LSBA-paid members who have demonstrated commitment, support, and dedication to LSBA during their time in the organization qualify to receive a free and official LSBA Sash in their senior year.
These sashes are a token of appreciation for all the hard work our members give to and for LSBA.
Sashes are embroidered with the member’s name and are presented to seniors during the LSBA end-of-the-year Banquet!
LSBA utilizes Discord as the main form of communication for messaging. LSBA members get the benefit of being added to the server and getting access to useful information. Within the server, LSBA has multiple channels that cater to specific events. An example could be #opportunties. This channel serves as a location for members to know of opportunities that LSBA has heard of, that could potentially benefit them individually. In addition to opportunities, there are a handful of other channels.
Discord also mainly serves as a way for all members to stay connected and informed in between general meetings and events.
Only paid LSBA members can get access to the Discord server.
LSBA utilizes Google Drive to organize all important documents and media for the year, that are accessible to all members.
