Hello, my name is Uziel Rios-Escareno, however, everyone knows me as Uzi. I am a senior majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and a minor in Computer Information Systems. I currently work at a national, independent advisory firm as an Analyst. My ultimate goal is to eventually be the head of my own private equity or venture capital firm. I have been in LSBA for two years now, going on my third and I am truly grateful for what this organization has done for me. I served as the social director for Fall 2015 and with the support of many, I am now President for 2016-2017. I enjoy meeting new people and expanding my network no matter where I am. I have two dogs.

My name is Dulce Cervantes but most people call me Candy. Hello, my name is Vanessa Garcia and I am a San Diego native. I moved to the LA area to attend Dominguez Hills in the fall of 2015 to accomplish my goal of obtaining a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Criminal Justice and pursue a career in law enforcement. I knew from the start that I wanted to get involved on campus and in the community, although I did not know that would take shape in the form of LSBA. I joined LSBA my first semester at DH, not knowing what to expect and then became more involved in the spring semester by becoming the fundraising director. This organization has helped me grow professionally and personally in many ways and one of my objectives is for others to benefit from this organization just as I have. I enjoy reading, going to concerts, trying new food, meeting new people and traveling. I am also the oldest of two and the first in my family to pursue higher education. Lastly, I have a baby named Lily who happens to have four legs and is a Pitbull mix.
Goal for LSBA:
My goal for LSBA is to fundraise enough money to provide more scholarships to our members than we have in the past. Hopefully the scholarships will help them continue on heir path to becoming successful in their academic life, careers and personal lives.
